Basant Panchami is celebrated as Sundar festival every year on the Shukla Paksha of Magh, This year Banasant Panchami is being celebrated on 29th January.
Basan Panchami is celebrated with great joy and gaiety in our India states every year according to their own traditions. On this day, Saraswati, the goddess of learning, was born. Saraswati Maa has other names like Veenavadini, Sharda, Pragya, Bharti and many beautiful names.
This is a Hindi festival. On this day all the people worship the Goddess Saraswati and pray for a bright future. Saraswati Maa is the wish of all and creates high thoughts.
Generally there are four seasons in spring, winter, summer, spring etc. All seasons have different importance and all are necessary for our economic life.
This festival is especially celebrated in all government and non-government education departments because the goddess of education means the goddess of knowledge. Ignorance goes away from where Saraswati’s Maa resides and creates good behavior.
Saraswati Maa is called Veenavadini and Sharada because she is also the goddess of music. People who love music celebrate this day with happiness and worship the Goddess.
Many stories of Saraswati Maa have been composed in our Punre Vedos, Zarathos and Upanishads. All stories are related to our religion and traditions. When we read them, our knowledge increases and we feel good because it makes our me calm.
On the day of Panchami, children and elders wear all yellow clothes and jewelery because from the day of Basant Panchami, wheat porridge, tree leaves and mustard flowers start to form and appear like gold in the fields.
On the day of Basant Panchami, Saraswati Maa is offered yellow rice and yellow sweet as well as yellow flowers are offered at her feet. It gives them happiness. When the Mother Goddess is happy, it gives us prosperity and maturity.
On this occasion, many cultural programs are organized with Saraswati Vandan in the school premises such as dance, speech, drama are played. With this, the children are motivated for a golden future while wishing them a bright future.
